20th ANNIVERSARY RENOVATION
As Cancer Support Community of Greater Ann Arbor (CSC) approaches our 20th anniversary, we have exciting news: we’re renovating our entire space to make CSC an even better home for our members.
Why now
After nearly two decades of use, our well-loved space is showing its age. Much of our furniture, carpeting, and finishes have been in place since we first opened. This renovation will give us a more welcoming, comfortable, and functional environment that reflects the quality of support our members have always received here.
What our members can look forward to
– A warmer, more comfortable environment. Refreshed furniture, flooring, and finishes will make every visit feel more welcoming.
– A space for everyone. Dedicated areas for kids, teens, and adults, along with private, calming rooms for personalized support, will help everyone find the right setting to connect, reflect, and heal.
– More ways to connect. Flexible gathering areas will let us expand social, educational, and wellness opportunities, including movement classes, shared meals, and community events, alongside our traditional support programs.
– A more accessible space. We’re designing with accessibility in mind so everyone can move through the building comfortably.
– A stronger sense of community. Inviting places to gather helps connections deepen. That sense of belonging is at the heart of what CSC offers.
As always, all of our programs and services remain free of charge.
How we’ll keep supporting members during construction
Work begins in January 2027, with completion expected by April 1, 2027. To ensure members can keep receiving the best possible services throughout the project, our office will close in stages rather than all at once. This phased approach allows us to keep programs and support available while each area is renovated. We’ll share updates on which spaces are closed, when, and where programs will be held [via email, our website, and social media]. Celebrate with us
The renovation will wrap up alongside our 20th anniversary celebration, and we hope the entire CSC community will join us to see the new space and celebrate this milestone together.
Sponsorship opportunities
For those who would like to help, rooms throughout the building are available for naming. Sponsorship is entirely optional, and it offers a lasting way to honor a loved one, celebrate a family or business, or recognize a cause close to your heart.
